Morality
03:50
|
|||
[Sam Harris Quote]
Verse 1:
This book could be moral if you don’t mind misogyny
And thinking women are nothing more than property
Deuteronomy teaches it’s fine to rape women
If they’re captured in war, they’re yours for the pickin’
A victim of rape, has to marry her attacker
Long as he pays her father, then he gets to have her
Women are seen as less than second class citizens
Seems it’d be easy to tell preachers to sit and spin
But no, you can be righteous and still think you oughta
Let a crowd of men gang rape your daughters
That’s what Lot thought, sick in any context
There just isn’t a way to justify the concept
It’s complete nonsense, some say it was the times
Things were different, so what you changed your mind
Is the bible wrong/ or should women not be equal
Would you say we should treat them as lesser people
Hook:
Biblical morality/ is fictional/ a fallacy/
If you thought it’s real/ you’re showing symptoms of a malady/
When mentioned it’s so sad to see/ another mental tragedy/
Thinking this book full of brutality/ is reality
Verse 2:
In this day and age/ it should take a lot of bravery
To say your morals come from a book/ that’s pro-slavery
Maybe we should sell daughters/ a new commodity
If they didn’t claim it’s true/ it’d be bad comedy
Probably because that book hasn’t been updated
So the lessons taught from it haven’t been upgraded
I’ve heard it stated/ that that was in the old book
What about Luke 12/ verse 47/ yea, go look
I know some believers/ have the best of intentions
And just cherry pick from what each testament mentions
But these messed up editions of ancient lesser conditions
Support people being in oppressive positions
That’s why it’s so strange/ my culture is so addicted
To a book that helped their freedom remain restricted
They’re afflicted to something/ contagious and outrageous
Singing praises to the pages/ that keep ‘em in cages
Hook:
Biblical morality/ is fictional/ a fallacy/
If you thought it’s real/ you’re showing symptoms of a malady/
When mentioned it’s so sad to see/ another mental tragedy/
Thinking this book full of brutality/ is reality
Verse 3:
Thou shalt not kill/ remember that commandment
It seems simple/ but few of them can understand it
Their god itself planned it/ in that Exodus story
Mass infanticide/ there isn’t much more gory
So any time your next door neighbor gets you mad
Punch their little baby/ to piss off mom and dad
That can’t be bad/ it’s in the bible/ like genocide
I’m sure during ethnic cleansing/ only sinners died
Stone your disobedient children and kill gays
Slay your neighbor if he labors the wrong day
Yahweh says/ blaspheme or follow other religions
Then you must have made/ the last of your decisions
This is all from the bloodiest story ever sold
Used to control the fold/ since back in the days of old
If you were told/ morals come from this/ you’ve been lied to
And you know it said/ atheists like me should die to
Hook:
Biblical morality/ is fictional/ a fallacy/
If you thought it’s real/ you’re showing symptoms of a malady/
When mentioned it’s so sad to see/ another mental tragedy/
Thinking this book full of brutality/ is reality

He's Coming Back
03:58
|
|||
Verse 1:
Why ain’t you sick of these/ phrases/ contradictory
From a preacher in books/ that ain’t hardly even history
It’s a mystery/ why they think a second trip in
Is beneficial/ still they keep the record skippin
They reject the livin/ can’t tell what makes them think
They should go against the most basic of instincts
Long as I have pen ink/ I’ll be writing against them
Over instrum-entals/ tryin’ to break down the system
Every kick drum/ snare and high hat
Will be used against those who choose to deny facts
I defy that/ social norm/ my mind won’t believe
I’d rather die on my feet/ than live on my knees
The quotes don’t agree/ back on the main topic
Why base your life on words of a lame prophet
With insane concepts/ about the end of days
Where you at?/ it’s been millennia since you went away
(He's coming back)
Chorus:
Ain't you tired of the same refrain
They might switch the picture but don't change the frame
About 2000 years the claim’s remained
Part of how they maintain the chains
(He's coming back)
Verse 2:
He’s so gone/ so long/ on so much he was so wrong
Still the followers/ keep singing the same ol’ song
Go on/ and live your life/ I could say that
And let you spin your wheels for years/ like Pat Sajak
Straight facts/ are always better than delusions
Abusin’ illusions/ infusin’ confusion in humans
So much unproven/ and much of it unprovable
But for some reason/ that still passes as truth to you
Still doing what they used to do/ waitin for a return
Hoping they’ll float up on the clouds/ while we burn
When will we learn/ to see/ and not be so damn blind
What kind of psychopath wants the end of mankind
Can’t find/ the answers/ things aren’t going very well
That doesn’t mean that you should live by fairy tales
Or fear some scary hell/ cause of what you don’t believe in
Your god is dead/ let it go/ try to use some reason
(He's coming back)
Chorus:
Ain't you tired of the same refrain
They might switch the picture but don't change the frame
About 2000 years the claim’s remained
Part of how they maintain the chains
(He's coming back)
Verse 3:
Luke 21/ he said this generation won't pass away
Before he came back/ and you would see the last of days
I guess that was a masquerade/ or just a lie prob'ly
If that was really said/ to anyone/ by anybody
Your whole book is shoddy/ but its servant's patience
Is crazy/ as they reinterpret/ reinterpretations
Consider you might be mistaken/ then your life was wasted
Think of the energy spent on this/ if you replaced it
With basic/ efforts to help/ without conviction
'Cause it's the right thing to do/ not 'cause of superstition
Try to lose religion/ you'll find you'll convince yourself
Life is amazing/ without the damaged mental health
Until you're content to shelf/ the dogma and the fiction
And try to overcome that supernatural addiction
Your position/ will be in favor of genocide
While all the time/ it's been a lie
(He's coming back)
Chorus:
Ain't you tired of the same refrain
They might switch the picture but don't change the frame
About 2000 years the claim’s remained
Part of how they maintain the chains
(He's coming back)

Reason
03:12
|
|||
Verse 1:
Bow your heads and pray/ to your sky daddy or zombie
Why people are still doin this/ man it’s beyond me
I’m up against an army/ six billion or more there
So this is my version/ of guerrilla warfare
Many more share/ my view/ but they stay in the closet
When they could use their logic and knowledge as rockets
The object of this project is to get hands outta pockets
And raise ‘em up to tell the prophets of nonsense to stop it
Use reason/ don’t knock it/ if you never tried to do it
And if you don’t know how/ let me guide you through it
First try to prove it/ is it probable or plausible
Does it try to make claims/ that are highly illogical
If it does then it’s not the truth/ it’s just bullshit
That some fools spit/ from behind a pulpit
Ask yourself when you’ll quit/ believing the lies
And break away from the spell/ that’s misleading your lives
Chorus:
You can’t give me a reason/ not to use reason
What you’re perceiving/ could be deceiving
I’ll question everything/ that you believe in
Unweaving/ these webs of lies/ long as I’m breathin
Verse 2:
Call me a heathen/ blasphemer/ infidel
Heretic/ godless/ tell me I’m meant for hell
And feel you hit the nail/ on my perspective
My objective/ is to show your view is defective
Forget the prime directive/ I’m tryin’ to interfere
And activate both your left and right hemisphere
Show you ain’t no sinners here/ ain’t no saints either
Do yourself a favor/ turn up woofers and crank tweeters
Of the faint speakers/ voicing your inner doubt
Blind faith is for losers/ let that winner out
If you feel me send a shout/ Yea/ stand for the truth
If you say there’s a god/ man show some proof
There is no excuse/ for blindly followin’ the herd
They servin’ garbage/ stop swallowin’ the words
When they hollow like a birds/ bones/ you ain’t alone
‘Cause I can’t condone/ living life by an ancient tome
Chorus:
You can’t give me a reason/ not to use reason
What you’re perceiving/ could be deceiving
I’ll question everything/ that you believe in
Unweaving/ these webs of lies/ long as I’m breathin
Verse 3:
If you got in the maze/ of praise/ ‘cause how you were raised
Get over it/ and tell your parents/ it was just a phase
I’m amazed/ that in this age/ we believe in miracles
In books by men that didn’t know the world was spherical
With nothing empirical/ evidence is irrelevant
Some probably think/ I’m devil sent/ or malevolent
I ain’t doin’ this for the hell of it/ hell is imaginary
Like goblins, trolls, gods, orcs, elves and fairies
You can’t scare me/ my patience is growing very thin
Listenin to adults/ with imaginary friends
Forget your prayer and sins/ you need to change your focus
Before religion eats our seeds/ like a plague of locusts
Get your mind out the days of Moses/ it’s mythology
Rip the prophesy/ right out of your philosophy
That’s how it gots to be/ give a reason not to do it
If things are how religion says/ you got to prove it
Chorus:
You can’t give me a reason/ not to use reason
What you’re perceiving/ could be deceiving
I’ll question everything/ that you believe in
Unweaving/ these webs of lies/ long as I’m breathin

Parable
03:57
|
|||
He was a young man/ looking for some guidance
Didn’t know where to go/ life on auto-pilot
Saw a couple girls and guys/ who were always smiling
Wondered if they had peace/ when they close their eyelids
He walked up/ they said ‘have you heard the gospel’
Take this bible/ don’t worry/ it won’t cost you
You can learn about Jesus/ and his twelve apostles
And celebrate the lord above/ his love is so colossal
Was this the great truth/ that he felt he was seeking
Read the book the whole week/ right through the weekend
Started thinking/ to his heart/ that god was speaking
Felt he found the way/ and this was his beacon
Started going to church/ Wednesday bible classes
Early service/ late service/ helped out at the masses
His whole world was spinning/ and this was the axis
Heaven awaited/ he knew he had safe passage
He believes the words on the pages
Gives thanks for all the mercies and graces
Memorized the stories/ even quoted chapters
He knows he’ll find his joy in the hereafter
He believes the words on the pages
Gives thanks for all the mercies and graces
Memorized the stories/ even quoted chapters
He knows he’ll find his joy in the hereafter
Had a whole new family/ showing love to him
But how they followed the word/ wasn’t enough for him
Told him to calm down/ he was too much for them
He responded god/ was the only judge of men
They call him extremist/ a fundamentalist
‘Cause when he needs answers/ he runs to Genesis
To logic and reason/ he’s become a nemesis
In the name of Jesus/ how he ends his sentences
Not accepting/ anything contradictory
Whether it’s from science/ or it’s from history
Forced his ideas on others/ causing misery
All because he believed/ in the book literally
The rest of his life/ went on sabbatical
Factual eschewed/ for the supernatural
People whispered/ he’s radical/ fanatical
God’s will must be done/ all else collateral
He belongs to words on the pages
A servant of his worship and praises
Conforms to the stories/ tries to live the chapters
Wants to be ready for the impending rapture
He belongs to words on the pages
A servant of his worship and praises
Conforms to the stories/ tries to live the chapters
Wants to be ready for the impending rapture
So he left his church/ they’re worried ‘bout him
Said they were hypocrites/ he could do without ‘em
They tried to lift him up/ back when they found him
But he dove in too deep/ now he’s drownin’
A family moved in near/ he saw they were different
In their dress/ their ways/ mostly their religion
Started harassing them/ saying they were sinnin’
Shouting insults and slurs/ right where they were livin’
A guy from his old church/ saw him causing trouble
But there’s no reason/ getting inside his bubble
So they got into it/ had a little struggle
Fell and hit his head/ blood began to puddle
It wasn’t the fault/ of the guy from the church
He didn’t want anybody/ there to get hurt
But the young man/ was just going berserk
Thinking the whole time/ he was doing god’s work
He became the words on the pages
Nothing more than the verses and phrases
Brought to life the stories/ as if he wrote the chapters
Knowing he was doing right by his holy master
He became the words on the pages
Nothing more than the verses and phrases
Brought to life the stories/ as if he wrote the chapters
Knowing he was doing right by his holy master
He succumbed to words on the pages
A victim of the verses and phrases
Consumed by the stories/ devoured by the chapters
Contained in the world’s greatest man-made disaster
He succumbed to words on the pages
A victim of the verses and phrases
Consumed by the stories/ devoured by the chapters
Contained in the world’s greatest man-made disaster

Sans Seraphs
03:45
|
|||
Lennon sang imagine/ few tried to envision
Life with no heaven/ no hell/ and no religion
Decisions/ would be made/ based upon compassion
Without any reward of life/ that’s everlastin’
He wasn’t askin’ much/ just to open your mind
Hopin you’ll find/ you may be only towin’ the line
For those that designed/ ways to keep you broken, confined
Invokin’ divine/ words/ what they’re promotin’s malign
Why be devoted and blind/ to what has been embedded
You’ve been told your whole life/ I’m sure it’s hard to forget it
Reality’s so poetic/ reason/ never reject it
Respect it/ see the world as it is/ you won’t regret it
Give doctors their credit/ medicine’s not a miracle
It’s science and dedication/ no part of it’s spiritual
If someone put fear in you/ about asking questions
Maybe it’s just their own doubts/ that they’re projectin’
Without angels, there’d be no less vividness
And people would realize some things are coincidence
Without devils, the world would still be the same
When people do wrong they just can’t shift the blame
No miracles, in ignorance, there’s humility
Anything can happen, given probability
And without gods, it’d change the mentality
For so many, and how they engage reality
Postulate for a second/ there’s no source of evil
Just outcomes/ of bad choices from bad people
No Satan trying to deceive you/ no fire and brimstone
No god up in the sky/ pushing Stockholm syndrome
Religion’s a symptom/ of ignorance, lack of sciences
For the unexplainable/ they invented appliances
But so much violence is/ done in the name of faith
I see why they needed it then/ but it’s time it was replaced
So much/ effort we waste/ on mental archeology
That could be used on/ society or technology
You owe an apology/ if you proselytized
But still I’m not blaming you/ if you got lost in the lies
It’s not easy to toss it aside/ I’m sure it has to be arduous
But it’s necessary to see/ just how marvelous
The world is/ it’s a part of us/ feel the catharsis
As Mr. Sagan said/ we are made of star stuff
Without angels, there’d be no less vividness
And people would realize some things are coincidence
Without devils, the world would still be the same
When people do wrong they just can’t shift the blame
No miracles, in ignorance, there’s humility
Anything can happen, given probability
And without gods, it’d change the mentality
For so many, and how they engage reality
If the only thing stopping you/ from being a parasite
Is the hope the one day/ you could live in paradise
Then that’s a scary sight/ you’re more or less/ moralless
In that case/ your professed/ beliefs/ are probably for the best
But for the rest/ of homo sapiens/ consider humanism
There’s no true religion/ they’re all/ different superstitions
Choose a new position/ this life is all we have ta
Contribute to the world/ feel love and laughter
And after/ this/ all that’s left of you is memories
That might make you consider/ how you use your energies
Too many entities/ are enemies/ to our betterment
Your life may have storms/ but it’s you/ that can weather it
No supernatural impediments/ no spiritual crutches
Not in the hands of cherubim/ nor in a demon’s clutches
As much as/ it may comfort you/ or set your mind at ease
Think of how it must feel/ when you’re finally free
Without angels, there’d be no less vividness
And people would realize some things are coincidence
Without devils, the world would still be the same
When people do wrong they just can’t shift the blame
No miracles, in ignorance, there’s humility
Anything can happen, given probability
And without gods, it’d change the mentality
For so many, and how they engage reality

Believe In You
04:17
|
|||
Verse 1:
Religion’s like a siren's song/ but I’m immune to the tune
And it’ll be that way/ from the womb to the tomb
But many assume/ because of my color/ my priority
Is a deity/ better double check your authority
I’m a minority/ in a minority/ where I come from
Where too many minds/ are humdrum/ and undone
And lump sums/ of funds/ are given to some bums
But here’s one son/ that won’t be a sucker/ like a Dum-Dum
Pressure’s like a stun gun/ so many freeze in their tracks
So much church in our culture/ it’s hard to leave when you’re black
Inter-weaved in our past/ so now we’re identified
As inherent believers/ they think it’s a sin if I
Ever refuse to dignify/ their superstitions and fantasies
African American atheist/ what did he say/ can it be
What about his family/ was he accepted or rejected
I was one of the lucky ones/ some disagree but I’m still respected
Chorus:
Don’t care what they’re telling me
There’s no fear of hell in me
Ignore what they say to you
You shouldn’t be praying too
Country, culture or my skin
Can’t tell you what lies within
Regardless what else you do
Make sure you believe in you
Verse 2:
I used to laugh/ at religious cats who couldn't do the math
They don't see the truth is wrapped/ up like a caduceus staff
Proof is passed/ over/ like blood marked Zionist doors
They lying in scores/ while sending men to die in their wars
I could try to ignore/ Jesus/ Allah and Yahweh
And all the other so-called gods/ but I'd be at it all day
Cause too many fall prey/ to thoughts they were infected with
And it's like for being black/ that faith is a prerequisite
I hope that I corrected it/ if that was your assumption
Only the weak/ need something/ supernatural to function
My deduction at this junction/ ignorance is a dungeon
And I'm part of the production/ of the tool of its destruction
You're a fool if your presumption/ was it's not essential
To make non-believers/ out of Christians, Muslims and Hindus
It's all in their mental/ they're confused in their delusions
Their reality's a fallacy/ and useless 'less it's proven
Chorus:
Don’t care what they’re telling me
There’s no fear of hell in me
Ignore what they say to you
You shouldn’t be praying too
Country, culture or my skin
Can’t tell you what lies within
Regardless what else you do
Make sure you believe in you
Verse 3:
No one wants to be ostracized/ so many of us compromise
Pretending we’re homogenized/ to views long fossilized
Don’t have to hypothesize/ it’s already common knowledge
And it might take some time/ but one day we’ll get laws abolished
That allow for the walls demolished/ between church and state
And worthless faith/ isn’t used to/ besmirch and hate
Unfortunately I’m forced to wait/ but doesn’t mean I won’t expedite it
There’s ways out of religion/ I use my music and text to guide it
Don’t hide it/ or be quiet/ stand up for yourself/ say it loud
I don’t believe in any god/ let them pray it out
To those that need to delay your route/ take this to your heart
Anyone who really loves you/ accepts you for who you are
For the rest of us/ we need to do our part/ I’ll say it explicitly
Let people know they’re not alone/ not matter their ethnicity
Insist that we/ show everyone/ that there's an alternative
You’re born to think/ you’re born to learn/ you’re born to love/ you’re born to live
Chorus:
Don’t care what they’re telling me
There’s no fear of hell in me
Ignore what they say to you
You shouldn’t be praying too
Country, culture or my skin
Can’t tell you what lies within
Regardless what else you do
Make sure you believe in you

Plagiarism
04:10
|

[Jesus, as a human being, never existed.]
[The presentation of the Jesus character is somewhat of a composite of many messianic leaders of the time]
Gather ‘round/ let’s talk about the mythos/ of christos
One I’d advise you to dispose/ of/ if you’re engrossed
The info/ I’m about to disclose/ is known to some
So if you think, “I knew it!”/ you’re not the only one
Show me some/ kind of evidence/ you might be thinkin’
But you’ve already seen some/ that might not have sinked in
Shall we begin/ with the mythic hero archetype
22 common traits/ a good place to start it right
The more you match the list/ the more likely you’re a myth
Top score/ hitting every single mark/ is Oedipus
With nineteen or twenty/ your buddy from Nazareth
Check the similarities/ you know he’d pass the test
Apologists tried to account for the symmetry
With lame ideas like diabolical mimicry
The image he was made in/ is so derivative
Indicative of the limits of those primitives
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/
It’s so absurd to me/ that this outright forgery
Is thought to be unique/ give beliefs/ the third degree
It should be perjury/ in a court/ just criminal
If you try to claim/ that these books are original
Regional myths distorted/ added their heritage
Details changed and rearranged/ to fit their narrative
That part’s imperative/ just look at the holidays
Thought of ways/ to use other cultures/ like potter’s clay
Assimilation skills that would make the Borg jealous
Those intentional and unintentional edits
Council of Nicaea/ cherry picking the gospels
Not really surprised/ that they’re ignoring their fossils
Colossal lies/ handed down through the generations
Asking veneration/ for crafted imitations
Not that the source is true/ or deserves respect either
Take a moment and think/ just who’s the great deceiver
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/
Before the Jesus story was put to papyrus
You had the influences/ Horus and Osirus
Descriptions millennia/ before the existence
Of the depiction/ taken straight from the Egyptians
There’s Buddha from Nepal/ Krishna from India
Dionysus of Greece/ and Attis of Phrygia
Mithra of Persia/ and Tammuz of Sumeria
If you haven’t noticed/ kind of the same area
They look at control systems/ thinking it’s old wisdom
When their sole mission/ was prob’ly to mold visions
Dictums forced on victims/ and now they won’t listen
Like catching the flu/ and learning to love cold symptoms
It’s no coincidence/ there’s a bit of difference
But ignoring the semblance/ is willful ignorance
Try to use your eyes and devise/ what’s not a disguise
It’s comprised of revised lies/ and very plagiarized
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/
How is it true when your main position/ is plagiarism/
So many people before you came to the same decision/
They claim traditions/ and they do a little name revision/
To try to con the gullible/ into your lame religion/

Your Faith
04:27
|
|||
What’s real is more important than how you feel
How you behave is more important than what you say
What you achieve is more important than what you believe
Without evidence/ your beliefs are irrelevant
All your faith based/ designs are unintelligent
The trifling creation/ that’s stifling education
Seeks the weak minds/ that are ripe for depravation
After all these centuries/ it should be a memory
So it’s sickening/ it’s still inflicting/ so much misery
Killed scientists through history/ trying to maintain the mystery
Wish that I could say/ that it didn’t make sense to me
But it does/ it’s called silencing the opposition
When all you have is dogma/ thinking is competition
Have suspicion their position/ is weak and your cognition
Is seen as sedition/ munitions/ and ill intentions
Dammit the/ planet we/ live on should be a family
Humanity needs to let go/ of this insanity
If you try to say/ that’s not really the way it is
In some countries/ they’d kill me/ just for saying this
Fuck your faith/ if it says that you should criticize
People for who they are/ and not let them live their lives
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should oppose science
Or gives license to those/ who cause or condone violence
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should discriminate
Maybe you should/ eliminate what you venerate
Fuck your faith/ I won’t respect something that’s not real
Fuck what you believe/ and fuck how this might make you feel
The god idea is old/ don’t you think it should die soon
Put it through it’s paces/ like you’re dueling at high noon
My tune/ won’t change/ without sufficient evidence
No deference/ if you use ancient books as reference
If you think you got answers/ from clergy and preachers
What’s the point of doing experiments/ and research
Which faith has tried to roadblock/ bring to a cold stop
‘Cause it doesn’t fit the mold/ they sold to their whole flock
Don’t knock/ on my door/ trying to proselytize
Or come to my room/ if I’m ever hospitalized
I’m not buying your false hope/ and impossible lies
Which are nothing more/ than a lack/ of thought in disguise
There’s been too much pain/ too much war/ too much hating
In the name of faith/ it’s a disgrace/ it’s frustrating
Why do I bother/ why don’t I let them say what they will?
‘Cause kids die/ when adults would rather pray when they’re ill
Fuck your faith/ if it says that you should criticize
People for who they are/ and not let them live their lives
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should oppose science
Or gives license to those/ who cause or condone violence
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should discriminate
Maybe you should/ eliminate what you venerate
Fuck your faith/ I won’t respect something that’s not real
Fuck what you believe/ and fuck how this might make you feel
It’s not all shooting doctors/ at abortions clinics
Suicide bombers/ or claims when you’re born you’re wicked
It’s teaching children/ they should adore some limits
That don’t exist/ that’s why I abhor your tenets
The self-hate it causes/ forcing people to lie
Feeling they’re damaged/ or thinking they’re evil inside
A derelict notion/ shouldn’t define/ what marriage is
Used for leverage/ and as a tool for terrorists
Afraid to ask questions/ knowing how they might react
Worried you’ll offend/ and they’ll think that they’re under attack
Scared you’ll be rejected/ if they detect that you don’t respect it
So the fear makes you hate it/ and yet/ still protect it
Stop treating it/ like it’s a virtue on it’s face
Keep it separate/ from public schools/ and from the state
Faith leads to bad decisions/ and human divisions
Not to mention/ anti-intellectualism
Fuck your faith/ if it says that you should criticize
People for who they are/ and not let them live their lives
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should oppose science
Or gives license to those/ who cause or condone violence
Fuck your faith/ if it says you should discriminate
Maybe you should/ eliminate what you venerate
Fuck your faith/ I won’t respect something that’s not real
Fuck what you believe/ and fuck how this might make you feel

Knowledge is/ one of the best ways to demolish it
Good ideas can stand/ no need for apologists
But as long as people use/ faith for solace it
Might not work to rid us of/ gods and goddesses
I’d say how odd it is/ it’s lasted so long
But some will always hold on/ when pressure is so strong
Prolonged/ artificially/ misled from infancy
We need entropy/ to enter these entities
Its bigotry/ pervasive/ but it’s still persuasive
We have the means/ but not the will to replace it
So it stays in stasis/ precepts of regression
Need steps of egression/ redress the deen lessons
World hasn’t seen weapons/ unleashed on the masses
That were this disastrous/ we have to move past it
Let it all turn to ashes/ let a new age begin
Death is a part of life/ all things come to an end
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
Paint’s been on canvas/ monuments been erected
Symphonies been composed/ they don’t need to protect it
Check it/ If it had a purpose/ it’s already been served
A vestige hanging around/ longer than it deserves
Preserved/ for the benefit/ of degenerates
Who claim they can make your insignificance/ infinite
Inclimate to the insolent/ influencing the innocent
Vigilant in their diligence/ to mask its impotence
By playing to sentiments/ not to your common sense
Bottomless promises/ vomited from prophet's lips
Confidence in providence/ just bolsters the soldiers
When we need to get their arms/ close to the holsters
Disposed of and sobered/ so one day we can kill this
Idea of sin/ that psychosomatic illness
We’ll never see our brilliance/ if we stay in the dark
It might take some time/ but I can’t wait ‘til it starts
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
They see the cracks/ and adapt/ so it won’t all collapse
But they sing the same song/ prolonging the final act
Perhaps/ if they accepted that/ it doesn’t ring true
They wouldn’t hold on so tight/ to the things that they cling to
Whatever it brings you/ look at it with some pragmatism
It’s gotta go/ the catechisms/ need cataclysms
Antagonism/ for lack of visions/ and bad decisions
Keep up the activism/ one day we will crash the system
You don’t need to ask permission/ or give apologies
Let the homilies/ and prophecies/ become mythology
Honestly/ it’ll probably/ become comedy
And believers will be seen as novelty/ or anomalies
Think responsibly/ teach your progeny/ reasoning
Everyday a little more logic/ is creeping in
The iron fist is weakening/ encrusted in rust
Change is coming/ you know what wind does to the dust
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
Let the books decay/ let the statues fall
Let the paint just fade/ and peel off the walls
Let the stories go/ let life manifest
Let it break/ crumble/ ‘til there’s nothing left
Let it rot away, let angels become angel dust
Let it rot away, let angels become angel dust
Let it rot away, let angels become angel dust
Let it rot away, let angels become angel dust

I have some other work which due to the style, subject matter and language usage, would probably be categorized as nerdcore... If you are interested in hearing that, check out nyte.bandcamp.com. I make music for people who are willing to think. ... more
